    ... wines and then ordered a Limoncello. Well the crowd involved us and one male started singing Quando, Quando, Quando and we smiled, when we finished our Limoncello, he ordered us another two and we laughed and joked together. We thanked him and walked home in the rain, not under the weather, but very pleasantly subdued. What a day. 8.11.14 Taormina Sicily.     ... pretty town and I'm sure I'll enjoy my 4 night's stay.

    Dinner in the hotel tonight. First meal I've had in a hotel on this trip and I hope the last. The pork chop was as tough as an old boot but the vegetable soup (entre) was very good. It was nice to get a vegetable other than spinach. The coffee was disgusting.

    ... Next came porcini mushroom risotto and spaghetti. Yum. Then the meat was veal schnitzel with salad. This was all followed by ice cream and chocolate sauce (a bit like viennetta) and coffee. Geoff had a moderate amount of the local red wine that was served in a classic terracotta jug we would probably use as a milk jug.     After the cable car journey to the 2000 meter stop, the very "not" fashionable 2 euro rental jackets would certainly be a welcomed accessory once at our final destination.
