Lovely drive with Geoff and Amanda to Lefkosia (Nikosia) where we crossed the Turkish border. We did some shopping and had a drink of fresh lemonade at one of the cafes in the Suk.

We then drove to the Mall for some lunch before heading to Lefkara, a small village in the mountains famous for their lace and silver.

We got home after six, got changed and went to dinner in the town of Lemesol at TGIF.

It's so much fun being with Geoff, Amanda and ...

A forty minte taxi ride took me to the airport and into a small lounge via a fairly efficient passport control and security check. Larnaca airport is not large but is quite new so it was not far to the gate when we were called.

The flight back was on a 767 which is distinctly old and tired. But we were on time and I easily met Brian for the trip home. But late in at just after midnight.

... visited Limassol there didn't seem to be a lot of tourism infrastructure available. It appears that Cyprus attracts a variety of tourists with the 3* hotel, Navaria Hotel and the 5* Four Seasons hotel very close to each other in Limassol however with different clientèle. The clientèle in the Navaria Hotel were mostly English, there were also some Cypriots, and the age was mostly older and retired. Limassol could be described as a 'sunny Blackpool', a bit tacky ...

... ranks #1 in the charts and for this reason tonight the first night of my stay the hotel expects high visitors from Cyprus and VIP guests from the European Union –mostly politicians and businessmen.

It seems that there is not a single policeman out here because they are not in uniform and they are mixed with the crowds.

Anyway, do read my review if you wish and I want to believe that you find it not only interesting but helpful as well.
