... just started eating our dinner when a thunderstorm broke. Within minutes the street was awash, and what had started as a trickle down the Main Street became a torrent. We thought it had subsided so finished eating, paid and started walking down the street. The further we walked the deeper the water became...Lionel was saying to take off my boots and roll up my trousers...he of course ...

Fantastic pedicure and foot massage. Didn't realise until walking afterwards just how completely shot-to-**** my feet were, it felt like walking on air.
Befriended a Spanish couple that we had seen in the same restaurant a us yesterday and shared a taxi to the train station together. It was awesome to meet fellow climbers and especially ones who focus that travelling and vacations around climbing!!
NEVER again will i travel by cattle ...

I was beyond happy that we were finally get to return to Beijing. However, we did get to check out the peak we were supposed to see the day before. I chose to take the bus there because I was not in the mood to walk.

The peak itself was stunning and the sun was out.

We then got on the bus to Beijing.
