Hotel was right across the road from the main train station. Very clean and rooms were great. It wouldn't hurt the staff to smile but other than that a convenient and comfortable stay

We arrived at Hamburg at around 2.00 where we checked into the luxurious four star Maddison Hotel which had been booked for us by my business associates from DVA. Pure luxury after our bus. Our bus has a total of 4.5 square meters of living space, now we were thrown into 35 square meters. We nearly lost each other.
... nibbles for us and some nibbles for Prego, bless her (she obviously couldn't smell poobacca!!) We even managed to request wasser für die hund and she was more than happy to oblige! We stayed here for a couple of drinks as the sun was shining and we were celebrating a new country. Back to the van for a scrub for Prego and a chill out before dins of leftover pasta and settling down for the new evening ritual of Prison ...
... ultimate goulash soup. I tried some and it was truly great. But by that stage Mark and I had ordered, and my bit of heaven was a piece of cheese strudel and a large black coffee.
So we're on the train, snoozing, feeling first-class snug, thinking about future holidays, feeling secure and loving with each other. And obviously a bit sad that our adventure is concluding.
