Interesting city, very pretty. Completely different atmosphere/ influence than Lviv. Hotel was pretty good, friendly staff with some strange requests. Complimentary bottle of "Champagne" on new years eve.

... a former ruler from Poland. Known for its unusual, castle-like appearance, it stands out among the other buildings in the area. There is some interesting lore about the exiled Polish king who lived here; rumor has it that he had the habit of pushing his ex-wives or girlfriends out of the balcony window!! (It's not very high, though I had to see it!)

Hello all,

After being on the road for over a fortnight I have finally cobbled together the first entry for our drive to Mongolia. To begin with a bit of house keeping.
