Got up super early to drive from Rome to the port in Naples (a mafia controlled city) to catch our ferry to the wonderful island of Capri. A group of a few Australians, a handful of Americans and us managed to hire a small boat and captain it ourselves. It was cool. Cruising around the whole island at our own pace, taking a much needed refreshing dip in the 'green grotto' and checking out the massive houses on top of the huge cliffs around the island. It's quite an impressive island and ...

Perhaps to cover up the cupcakes ...

... and arancini for appetizer, filet of pork with baked apple slices first course, eggplant parmigiana for third course, green leafy salad for fourth course, spinach & ricotta filled cannelloni for fifth course. Are you full yet? Have you lost count? Well hold on, there's more! A platter filled with pastries - mini cannolis, cream puffs, and lobster tails! Then wash it down with a shot of Limoncello. And then if that wasn't enough, cousin Mariano gives each of us a vanilla ...

Today is Saturday and after breakfast we head over to an excursion office to find out about visiting the Aeolian Islands. We book our tickets and are confirmed for tomorrow. Yay!! This is one of the things high on our must see list! Afterward, we get ready to drive to Terme Vigliatore to visit Maria Rosa, another cousin on my moms side. She lives close about 15 mins away, driving on a ...
