This morning was a tad early even the sun had not come up when where waiting at the port for our ferry across if you can call it a ferry a lot larger than our perth ferry, eight floors to be exact and drive on drive of down the bottom for trucks not just cars .. We all found our little bit of couch our chair and proceeded to either sleep or read or both as the crossing takes about 3 hours. Talk about ...

... used to grow in abundance around the island and at its peak had a population of over 22,000 supporting the divers and merchants, now the population is less than 3,000. You can still buy local sponges, the best coming from below 80 meters, and they are so much more impressive than what I have seen of felt before, amazingly elastic, and incredibly strong and apparently lasting up to a decade of regular use. Within 30 minutes of eventually finding my hotel in amongst ...

... a valley that had a little river and waterfalls. At first we couldn't see many butterflies, but then we noticed hundreds resting under trees or on rocks. They were black and yellow, but when they were flying you could see orange on their wings.
One day, Dad, Tom, Poppy and I went to the Archeological Museum, which was once a hospital for the Knights of St John. It was built in the 1400's. The museum displayed alot of vases and pots from Rhodes and other nearby ...
