The Skavsta Airport is listed as a Stockholm airport, but that isn't for its proximity to Stockholm. It's about a 1 1/2 hrs train ride south from Stockholm. This is the airport most low cost Carriers fly out of.

It was a nice train ride through some beautiful country.

Nykoping is a medievil town on the coast. We also headed down to Oxelsund another coastal town and did a little walk. Christian found the roads hard to navigate due to so many being pedestrain streets only. We were both exhausted so headed to bed to be ready for the next days ...

... a very nice day to be outside, but I did get some opportunity to test my new Nokia Lumia 1020's camera on some of the beautiful architecture. The city is surrounded by water; being situated on the Baltic Sea, the sea water was a good source of power for the factories. So powerful flows of water and industrial waterfalls are plenteous while much of the city and many of ...

Nyköping (new borough, we were told it means) dates back to around the 11th century, when its position on a river and with an island at its mouth made it a strategically easily defensible location. A fort, later a castle, was constructed on the island and all was well for several hundred years, until the land rose sufficiently so as ...
