... back to lighten the load. I did fit my wunderlich CNC levers –much to the amazement of the he,an campers next to me. So I extolled the virtues of German engineering much to their amusement. A short run into town started with a iffy moment as I turned out of the camp site onto the wrong side of the road - luckily for me another bike was coming the other way at a reasonable pace. But we have our head torches so nonchalently resume our meal. Takes more than imminent death to phase us rufty-tufty bikers. The wine is a very good Temperanillo, would cost a tenner on its own in the UK. Replete and happy we wobble off to ...

... Spanish and English. The tannoy quality was far from perfect, so much so that even he had difficulty understanding the distorted commentary, and it put us in mind of the Norman Collier microphone comedy sketch! As the carriages take just 20 or so passengers at a time, we had a coffee and cake fix while we waited for our numbers to come up so it was getting on for 11am by the time we reached the top, then set off walking along one of the clearly defined recommended tracks. ...
