... was excellent- not too much information with amusing asides- perfect. All the guides have been the best we have ever experienced.
We were moored in Koblenz all evening so some people went out to dinner or to the bars. The ship did a Germanic buffet of regional dishes. Not that keen on german food we were relieved to find fabulous roast beef aand pork in the galley so we could also get to see where all the food is prepared. ... Germans have all really enjoyed them and we received a standing ovation in both of them - you Brits need to pull your socks up!! ... doing that and some local shopping I will not be nearly as active as in the first three weeks. On Monday evening I revisited the restaurant that I attempted to eat at on Sunday. It specializes in primarily Italian dishes, so I ordered Gnocchi Provinciale (Gnocchi in a tomato sauce with herbs, vegetables and shrimp). I enjoyed the change in cuisine.

... looks after the garden at her church and took us for a visit. Inside is a beautiful quilted cross, (also planned by Uli, a very creative lady), Anna had very kindly given up her room for us as she was returning to Bamberg, and after settling in, we all went to the local Italian for a very nice meal. We did lots of chatting about everything under the sun, then we retired home and Anna went back to university.
