    ... and Bob and returned to Mlsnej Kocour (The Fastidious Cat) for dinner as Esther wanted to have a main meal there. She chose a bacon and sun-dried tomato fettuccine which looked marvellous, Bob had Caesar salad, Wendy chose beef fillet with two different dumplings (their version of goulash and dumplings) and Di a sizzling beef dish.     ... we walked down towards the river for, in theory, cooler air. No such luck, not really a happening area, so back towards our hotel intense found an authentic Czech place that was pumping, people waiting for tables. Good signs. Would of loved a table outside that may have been cooler, but had to settle for one indoors. Beers and pork knuckle for Pete. Beers and rabbit for me. Yum!!     ... outside of the buildings. They also have a vineyard in the castle grounds with great views over the city. Of course I was too early to have a look around but got a bit of a peek. And they have a Christmas shop because surely Christmas is coming soon! As I left castle grounds the tourists started piling in. There is certainly something to be said for getting up early!     ... a tour of the castle which was interesting with its many wall tapestries, historical furniture, weapons, paintings & the famous golden carriage which was only used once. It was lovely getting out into the countryside after being in the 'city' small villages & forests which would look beautiful covered in snow.     ... the war. We have walked through a doorway that was over 400 years old. There were two other wooden doors that were in excellent condition of a similar vintage. A great tour and well worth the time and money. The next part of the tour was self guided up to the observation deck on the tower. Two choices to go up, a lift or the stairs. We took the stairs.
