Today we left the easy coast and travelled inland. The further west we went the further on autumn is. The road we travelled was treed on both sides which makes this area so spectacular in autumn.
We stopped in the small town of Pinkham, New Hampshire for lunch and a member of the town Council welcomed us to the town and they even had a red carpet.

This bald eagle is actually a juvenile, and doesn't have the white head yet. We expect that next year, he'll be about 5 years old and have his white head.

Today was quiet, beautiful, uneventful, and really everything I was looking for when I planned this trip.
