What have I
seen? At a place with great views of HuaHin and its beaches, Monkey Mountain has a great view of the whole area.
There is a huge Wat on top with very steep steps leading up to it and yes there
are many many monkeys playing, sleeping and fighting for food. I locked all my
stuff (sunnies etc) under the seat so they were not to stolen by the monkeys

... and lobby area etc. Although when we were taken down to our room it was evident that we had been put in the older part of the hotel as things started to look a lot more tatty and tired, not that it bothered us too much as we only use the room to sleep and shower. The one main downside to the hotel was that it was about 10/15 mins drive outside of Hua Hin so you have to rely on the shuttle bus to get you in, which was a bit of a pain as it ...

... only to be replaced by smacking the horn a couple of times, like really bad road rage. Anyway, amazingly I made it to the elephant sanctuary in one peice and as soon as I got out of the car, was overwhelmed by about 25-30 new faces, not all so friendly. Turns out some people aren't so nice to new volunteers. Gay.
