Barcelona to Madrid is about 3 hours by high speed train or about 5 hours by the toll highway . While researching options, we came across a travel blog that suggested a longer trip that takes you off the beaten path. It was so worth it. We stopped at many little towns along the way. Since it was Sunday the stores were closed and it was so neat to see ...

Noticed some storks again with penthouse views. ...

Barcelona to San Sebastian via Zaragoza

... pointed to the board and I suspect swore at me in Spanish. Bumped into two Queenslanders who were experiencing the same difficulties and also headed for San Sebastián. The husband was putting his money on Stand 3. Decided to stick with them. Figured if I ended up somewhere I hadn't intended to go at least I would be with people who spoke English! Fortunately, he was on the money.... The mountain scenery as we headed for northern Spain was just ...
