... very comfortable, spacious but minimalist. We explored the vast central plaza with the enormous and impressive basilica, a tower called el Pilar as well as a nice cool café. It was 30 degrees and felt all of that.

... attractive and quite sedate. My impression was of very understated elegance. The setting of the shrine to the Virgin of Pilar was quite moving and everyone there seemed duly overcome with the spirit of the place. Our next stop was at the Cathedral, which likewise was very attractive and quite large. It seemed to be quite empty considering its importance.
