Vibe hotel is very close to much of the action of Surfers Paradise without being right on the strip. The rooms are clean and well designed. They are a bit loud as they are overlooking a major street, and the way the bathrooms are built, have a screen for ventilation, and therefore lacking proper sound control
They have a decent pool, with bar and daily bar specials, a small gym, 30 minute free wifi daily and laundry services.

At some point this morning, Woody has managed to develop a streaming cold. His face is red, he nose is running and blocked (?), he is drooling, his eyes are watering- basically he looks pretty bad. He is not helped by the fact he is wearing a ...

This is the first time we've had a what we'd call a big baggage allowance - 30kg each and 2x10kg cabin but it's mid-summer in Japan so no jackets, long pants etc, just piles of t-shirts, socks and jocks, although not really that many socks cos I'm thinking I'll be wearing thongs or sandals most of the time.
