... locals pedalled their wares. We started in the gold Souq. There was shop after shop of gold. For someone with a secret jewellery fetish it was heaven. Also, as I had destroyed nearly every piece of gold I had ever owned through my instance on chucking everything in a bin bag when I moved and my jewellery was tainted by the liquid air freshener so that it was green and black and couldn't be saved, I harboured a glimmer of hope that I might replace something that I had lost ...

Every day on the way to school Narelle takes a short cut through such rough terrain, thank goodness she has a 4 wheel drive, its like being in an episode of Top Gear. Ant on the other hand thinks he is a boy racer, and one leaves ones stomach at home and then it catches up when you arrive at said destination. Kit has the attention span of a gnat. The Life of a Teacher
... says it's best to go in the spring when the weather is cooler. So...I'm thinking this will be my spring break trip!
Now, any suggestions for my Eid trip??? Some of the people here are taking a trip to Nepal, which would be pretty cool. Others are going to Africa (Kenya, Algeria, Morocco, Uganda...), and I think Thailand is being tossed around as a possibility too. Any and all input is appreciated! :)

Bahrain Day #3 -- Touring the Island
... have to find a way to get a Saudi visa so I can actually step into the country and check it off my list! (Saudi visas are heard to get if you don’t have business in the country – I’ve read the nation only grants tourist visas to Americans participating in an organized tour group).
