Although everyone tells me I have no ass I am always tortuously reminded of this after about an hour of sitting on airline torture thrones. My butt made sure I attended to every second of this nine and a half hour portion of travel time. I'm sitting in the Charlotte airport on my 8 hour layover, drinking a cold beer and reflecting on the last 10 years. This trip is far and beyond anything I've ever done before, and it is really exciting. Especially since I still don't have half of it planned yet!

Most of the day we hung around camp while our rigs were waxed. Late in the afternoon we headed to MIllbridge Speedway in Salisbury, NC. to watch the Mini Outlaws race. They are open winged sprint go karts. The track was out in the country and we were some of the many hundreds of red neck spectators. I REALLY mean RED NECK. ...

... and Kitty and Bobby made a few purchases), then we had lunch at Duckworth's Grill & Taphouse, Mooresville, NC. After lunch we went to Michael Waltrip Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing. Waltrip Racing had the best shop viewing of any place we visited. We could view the garage area, as well as machine shop, suspension, chassis, fabrication, and decal application. We were impressed!
