We had a slight hiccup when we were crossing the shallow water over the extension of Zealand’s long spit – it actually is shallow for quite a few miles to the north but there are a couple of channels through into deeper water to the west and we chose the deepest, marked on the chart as having a ...

Lots to see and do in this town. Viking museum, sail boat rides etc. Enjoy the pics. We will touch base again after a few ...

In the 1960s divers curious about the rumours of buried ships near Roskilde dug up a piece of wood and sent it to a museum to be dated. The museum was ecstatic to realize the piece was from a Viking ship and the process of excavating the site began. Dividers were erected around the site out in the channel. Water ...

Our last morning in Copenhagen started with saying goodbye to Katja as she went off to work. Then Gord and I packed up and walked to the train station. We made it there in time to take an earlier train to Roskilde, so we hopped aboard another first class train to enjoy free water and treats. We texted Line to let her know we'd be arriving a bit early, and she messaged us a place to meet where we could get coffee. Roskilde is a lovely small town. It is not a ...
