Left this morning Genora where Christopher Columbus was born, stopping in Pisa...Amazing Leaning Tower...lots of pics. Left Italy Travelling thru over 170 Tunnels thr the mountains. We're going to Monte Carlo tomorrow night for dinner...passed it today with all the yatchs in the Harbour

... a cave they also have in the gardens. The cave was accidentally discovered while creating the gardens, and it was neat to see. It was also the first cave that Dilyara had ever been inside! It had the stalagmites/stalagtites and everything.

... and found our way eventually to Cosne sur Loire where we had lunch in a little park next to a river. Then back on the bikes and into a hillier ride in to Beaullieu. All pooped at this stage. After a short rest all of the Australians plus Stefan from Belgium and Arie the guide were picked up for some kayaking on the Loire. Harder work than we expected! *Many, many French women are petite. I actually felt tall standing next to a few women on
the bus. It made me think of my great-aunt Dotty, a petite, demure southern belle who
researched our family history. She learned that we have some French roots...I can't recall
I love the South of France. It is beautiful. The French population may not be the most forth coming and friendly bunch but the high tourist count made for a nice relaxing holiday with beautiful coastline, sun and sand.
We caught a bus around to Monaco at one point too but for the most part we spent strolling along the shorelines, visiting vegetable markets, admiring the French cuisine and I even got told off for touching a shoe.
