... very nice atmosphere. They all had superb old buildings.

As well as historic all towns, there were the Saxon fortified churches, the Painted churches of Southern Bucovina, and the wooden churches of Maramures.

Add to this all the wonderful rural landscape –impossibly green vistas, fields of sunflowers, haymaking, horse-drawn ploughs and long, skinny 4-wheeled carts.
