Accion de Gracias

... feel like it was early October like its been like. The leaves are still all green on the trees though. It's still hard to believe that it's almost December. It's still really warm, I can't wear a jacket, but the decorations remind me that Christmas is right around the corner. The decorations get more awesome each day. Calle Larios is super impressive and they've put up these large glass trees in the Plaza de la Marina and the Plaza ...

Tonight

... Alex, Maria, Juan, and two friends from an intercambio) were all super proud of me. No pasa nada!

Afterwards we went to a bar where they played a lot of older Spanish songs…very good and upbeat even though some were from the 60’s. Also, after I left the bathroom in the bar I saw Maria standing waiting for the girls bathroom and she called me over. She had met a girl from Jaen in the line and I talked a little bit to ...

Hung over again

... ill but it was cheap and filled us up.

We went to a place called Montys bar where they had a live act on we thought it was going to be really cheesy but it turned out to be ok. Steve the man who was playing was really good and played lots of old classics man rock songs so Ian liked it and I enjoyed it to. We then stagered back to our room around midnight a little drunk again. Looks like we are fitting right in with this holiday.

Too Funny

... the ferry over to Algeciras it only took an hour and half and then we where in spain, I felt a huge weight lift as now we can relax a little. In morroco you are always on edge always watching and not trusting people that it makes you a little crazy. So we went and got our bus tickets and we waited in a little bus station cafe and had our first taste of Spanish food. Ian had some paella and I had some meatballs ...

Sunrise over the Med

... for an affordable holiday. torremolinos tends to have more belgian, dutch and northern europeans.

terry and i travel well together, we usually don't go out to eat and prefer to shop for our own groceries, stay in and cook. we usually rent a time share or in this case an apartment/hotel which is like a time share only the kitchen does not have an oven, just a stove top. there is a hybrid microwave with convection oven that i am afraid of using after my toast ...

Morocco deserves more than a day!

... well, I don´t think they really ride camels anymore in the city of Tangier anyway. After a couple more bus photos, it was back on the ferry to Spain.

All in all, here´s the verdict on Tangier. It is definitely a changing city, filled with construction of new hotels and lots of places trying to spruce up their looks. I wish we could have spent more time to actually see the real Morocco, instead of getting hustled around on the tour bus, but it was worth it none the less ...

Malaga City Tour

... for lunch is an area called Chininitos where there are lots of chairs and tables set outside for a great seafood.
Teatro Romano is another nice place to visit, heading up to the Mount Gilfrano from there allows to see the whole city underneath. Amazing view of the Torre where the bullfighting occurs.
Once seeing the precaussions was over at night, we head out to Cordoba for our last day of visit in the Southern Spain.

The Legendary 'Mad Ass' Hodges

... with as much fuss and and pandemonium as they could muster. If there was ever a more appropriate saying than 'Some people die at 25 and aren't buried until they're 75', then I don't know what it is. Having seen just a selection of some of the pathetic rituals performed by so many idiots, and hearing some of the complaints, whinges and bickering displayed by others, I'm more than happy to say that I'd gladly end my ...

Crash Landing on a Cloud

... make the climb. I watched the sun go down and by the time we pulled into Malaga, it was well past dark. After a short trek from the bus to the train station, I experienced yet another sweet stranger who jumped in to help me out. He saw me rushing and made them hold the train for me. After thanking him profusely, I collapsed into my seat and zoned out for the next three quarters of an hour. I am so tired and I can feel ...
