The high points of my treatment is that I did not incur any infection, illness or the loss of legs and the treatments set me back a whopping £10. Yes £10, plus tip. So don’t hold back, treat yourself when in Salta just remember to take some nail polish colours with you and don’t ask any questions.
... there) the whole time, occasionally tripping each of us up so close did it stay to our ankles. It tried to follow us inside the hostel, and looked rather forlorn when we stopped it.
Back inside, French guy was on the internet. We sat around on the sofas for a bit chatting, got changed then headed back outside after an hour or so, passing French guy who of course was still on the internet, fixing the monitor with an unnecessarily intense stare as he perused ...
... beautiful and we stopped for lunch and wine tasting at a town called Cafayate where we sat in the sunny square eating empanada’s (local pasties) and feeling sorry for the others who were missing out on our mystery tour. On the way back we got to see certain rocks that look like objects/animals for example The Titanic, a frog and a priest. I wasn’t too convinced by these but they did look like pretty rocks none-the-less. To finish off our ...

After traveling through these places we arrived to the town of Cafayate where we visited two of its wine cellars and tasted its famous wine torrontés. At the second winery we were given a tour and told how the wine is made, unfortunately this was in Spanish!!
We stayed in Cafayate and stopped at the town for an hour and half for lunch before making our return ...
... I'd have said Mr G was from Cuba perhaps? Ernest was AMAZING. Nicholas and I discussed how it appears he has led 10 lives perhaps in the 39 years he was alive. Che MOVED. MAN HE MOVED. HE DID NOT STOP MOVING. As a child, he was kept indoors due to his illness and DEVOURED books beyond his age... Jules Verne for instance... at the age of FOUR! As an adolescent he travelled around South America... THREE TIMES. Not only did he travel on the famous motorcycle which I ...

I missed my Thursday bus to Chile, sonce the night before I got stuck with those Argentine locals in the local pub. The next bus to Chile would leave on Sunday, which gave me time to visit another village, called Cafayate, about 4 hours by bus from Salta. I stayed the night in the village, where I just walked around by ...

It was with Tom's family I would be living from here on in and I can't say he was pleased to see us when we arrived the following day as he rolled over looking worst for wear when I burst through his bedroom door and informed him that he would have to help us move some furniture around so I would have somewhere to sleep. We had to change the double bed in his room for two singles from a bedroom upstairs in this house, come palace, I ...
... the unofficial capital of north Argentina. In fact, an Argentinian chap I sat next to on the bus (yes, another bus) told me that it was considered far superior to Buenos Aires as people who lived in Buenos Aires were mad. No wild generalisations there I thought. How I look forward to Buenos Aires! Salta is a pretty city though encompassing many old colonial buildings and squares. It's easily navigated by foot so long as you are not an ...
Salta, Argentina bernadine...
Salta, Northern Argentina, Argentina flitterjahr... day tour to a cloud forest (a type of rainforest at altitude, this one was at 1,700m) in Reserva La Huaico which was about 12km from Salta. It is smaller than El Rey and Caligula but the tour operators recommend not to go there at this time of the year as it is rainy season and the streams flood extremely quickly. We were both surprised to hear it was rainy season here as we were just in Mendoza region where is was hot and sunny but we had just ...
