Explore the Art Deco District or take the kids to the zoo. At the end of the day, chill out at any of the areas cool bars and nightclubs. The vacations days in the Miami were such so pleasant day.

We carried on through the mangrove swamps on 'alligator alley' past Everglade City towards Homestead (about 10 miles south west of Miami) which we decided was going to be a cheaper place to stay. We found a nice motel with a very interesting Gaudi type mosaic around the wall of our room (someone most have been feeling very artistic!)for about $50 for the night. Homestead seems to be very hispanic so all we could find in the way of restaurants was Taco bars ...
