Took off from Sycamore Lodge at 7:00AM with a destination of Iowa City, Iowa to see Lisa, Dave, and granddaughter Izzie. The drive was uneventful with the exception of I-275 near Cincinnati, OH. There we experienced a 7 mile backup due to bridge work. I had a chance to catch up on my email.

We had a couple of 200-300 foot accents today, one as soon as we hit ...

... did not exist. We got to camp around 5:30 PM and did not have time for a camp fire. My spoon had broken the night before, thanks Mitch, so I had to borrow one from Ryan. The three of us fit into the the three man tent nicely and without any major issues.

Day 1 States: 40,878 steps, 17.76 total miles, ~4,460 calories burned, and 179 flights of stairs ...
