... passed by three of these large crosses along the highway. The one in Texas claimed to be the largest in North America, however, the one in Effingham, Illinois is 10 feet taller and claims to the be tallest in the world. All I know is these crosses can be seen for miles and make an impressive sight along the roadway.

Tomorrow should bring us within a short drive to home.

Tonight we're staying in the Alpha Psi chapter house of Pi Kappa Phi. This place is huge! The whole house houses over 100 brothers and is well over three times the size of the WSU chapter house. We left home only a little later than we'd planned at 8:17 a.m. - 17 minutes has to be a record. It was hard getting out of the house because Missy wanted to come with us. We know that Biscuit and Missy saw the suitcases, saw us packing. So, Missy probably thought, "Road trip! That sounds like fun!" Then she was whimpering as we left.

We'll probably stop in Edinburg at Micky D's for breakfast.

As expected, yesterday a major storm hit the Midwest. Here on campus we received roughly 10 inches of snow. The snow fell on top of the roughly 3 to 4 inches of snow that we already have on campus giving us well over a foot of snow everywhere. Around that time Dante contacted me and let me know that one of our students had concerns that our flight from Indianapolis to Chicago had been canceled.
