... this is a nice motorhome park (it should be it is one of the more expensive we have stayed in but they have nice pads, there are a lot of monthly RVs here and it must be quite chilly in the winter as the monthlys have large propane tanks and the bottom of their rigs are wrapped.

... in an early heavy snow storm in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and nearly half of the emigrants perished - some resorting to eating their animals and deceased members of their group. It was horrific. We continued east on Hwy 80 and after crossing miles and miles of salt flats, we finally reached Great Salt Lake and the KOA Camp in Salt Lake City. Cost: $95.23 for 2 nights. It's a beautiful campground and the sun is shining. Looking forward to see what tomorrow ...

... Here we hiked two miles following the path through the gorge, navigating our way through the waterlogged passages. As it was still daylight it was simple! After 20 minutes we arrived at the hot springs and there enjoyed a relaxing evening together in the sizzling waters enjoying the day turn to night. ... doing over 100 mph in perfect formation. A little ways down they road they were on the side of the road fixing one of their bikes. This happened a few times during the 300 miles to my destination. With about 80 miles left before I hit elko I ran into a rain storm and instead of putting on my rain gear I just soldiered on with the uncomfortable wet cold. Once I arrived at the hotel I noticed the bike looked like I had been running it in the mud. It was a mess.

... on the bus during overnight drives on beds in a communal fashion. It's not as comfortable as your own bed, but if you want to cover hundreds of kilometres it's as comfortable as you can get. Other activities on the tour are done in a communal fashion too, from setting up the cooking and cleaning tables and utensils to organising the daily trips.
