And we provided cookies and pretzels too. The guys showed their appreciation by grunting and banging their chests with their fists.
Thanks guys!
Well, I'm off to Sweden! Our final country (with the exception of a little joyride to Finland in 2 weeks!)
19 days left... 10 shows left...
Lots of memories to be made :)
... burst with laughter! At the end of the dance number, Tim (Chicago) almost drops Leslie (Arizona). And Leslie and Paul's (South Dakota) costumes almost came off during "Jai Ho", a dance from India.
I'm sure more funny moments occurred but those were the ones that I noticed. But of course, our shows are so full of energy that I'm sure no one in the audience noticed.
Right? :)
Well, time for bed! We have a Vattanfall show tomorrow and then... we ...
... on our bus ride from Hamburg, Germany to Denmark. The guys traveled on a ridiculously large and spacious bus.
This is a huge deal in UWP, I assure you.
When we arrived in Denmark, Laura Lynn, the music coordinator, went on the guys bus and told them, "We have to practice winter medley. Right now."
It's a good thing she's an awesome actress! As the boys were singing "Jingle Bells", we were setting ...
Only 30 minute trip from Copenhagen. Nice little place to spend the night. Did alot more than I expected. Saw the museum on H.C Anderson, which had his original manuscripts. A very interesting man and very ugly- that is what inspired him to write the Ugly Duckling. Saw Sankt Knuds Kirke which is a ...
Odense, Fyn and the Central Islands, Denmark tonkinOK so there's only 8.3 Danish krone to the pound & and we had 3 kids so we always new Denmark was going to be punishingly expensive. However it was worth going, most museums have either cheap entry or low price for kids. Just returned from the Viking open air village in Ribe (Jutland) & the buried ship museum at Ladby in Funen (Fyn). Also the viking ship museum in Roskilde (Sealand). All places were very ...
Middelfart, Fyn and the Central Islands, Denmark tucker47... bar it’s just as it sounds, a bar made of ice in sub zero temperatures. Everything is made of ice from the walls, to the chairs, to the glass your drink comes in. Everyone wears matching snow coats that are provided with your admission. They even had some for children, I guess we’re not the only bad parents in Copenhagen! We got a few looks from some of the other patrons but the boys had a blast and can now ...
Lunde, Region South Denmark, Denmark patry... amongst the 40 other kites. Many were quite serious about it but the majority were just like us- out for a fun family time. We also went to "Otterup by night" a local family fun night in the town where we are staying. The shops stay open late and there is live music, a few rides, but mostly just time for the town to spend together.
One thing that we have noticed since being here is that it's not exaggerated that Denmark is the most ...

The original plan was to drive all the way to Copenhagen and stay on a campsite there. But since it rained and rained and rained, we decided to stop earlier and have a good rest before heading to Copenhagen and meeting up with Laurents & Iris at the airport there. We were lucky and found a really nice campsite right at the beach with a view of the Storebaelt Bridge :-)
... mind. check list of things i wish i could abide by. 1. forget all the possibilities. 2. function like seeds bursting into the soil. 3. forget that we are seeds amongst the soil. 4. catch the trees in their magnificences against the grey night, in their fight against the backdrop of light pollution. (their old enemy of the moon and stars has become a long lost friend) 5 ...
Odense, Fyn and the Central Islands, Denmark al370306Hans Christian Andersen was born in Odense and lived there until 16ish when he left for Copenhagen. He never once had a nice thing to say about it. So, in typical fashion, Odense has taken the idea and turned it into touristy Hans Christian Andersen hell. It's kind of like Disney World and how you can't look anywhere without seeing Mickey Mouse ears. I should mention Odense is the third largest city in ...
