Back inside, I fan the detector with a towel to try to clear it of residual gas, and we’re golden. No screeching, but by this time, it’s after 5:30. YES YOU READ RIGHT 7:00am…… So what to do in this situation…. plenty of options but Amanda and I just laughed and took in on the chin, most likely from delirium but it was just funny and we weren’t the only ones in this situation. Of all the places that we had travelled on buses, Mexico, Guatemala, Nicuragua, Panama etc… and how “dodgy” these place seemed, the buses left on time, never had delays and now we were in our ...

... sweet statues everywhere and opera coming from somewhere my ears could not pin point. I got into my room and decided a shower was needed, now I have to explain this, the bathroom lights are on a timer, which I knew but completely forgot as normally once the light is on, it stays on. So there I was, as naked as naked gets, in the shower, shampoo in my hair, when the room went pitch black! I panicked, I thought someone had come into the room, turned the lights off and all was about ...
