Arriving in Washington, D.C. after a cruise train ride from NYC we found more unseasonably warm weather although it was quite windy. We visited the Arlington national cemetery where those who have served the nation including many famous are buried. Over 400,000 are buried there including Robert E Lee and a number of the Kennedy's. It also includes a tomb of the unknown soldier where they have a changing of the guard ...

... at the Museum movie). The memorial is amazing. There's giant pillars, his speeches written on the side walls, and a giant 9ft statue of him in his chair. At the front of the memorial is also an engraved stone on the ground, where Martin Luther King gave his 'I have a dream' speech. Pretty darn awesome :).
After all the memorials, we headed back to camp for my first taste of camping. Wish me luck. Peace out from Washington D.C. ...

... history and completed some of the parts that i missed out on yesterday. It was in this museum that i ran into some Contiki people who were looking around. Leaving them after a quick chat i looked around some more, found the site for the t-Rex that they were going to put up in the future, then left the museum.

I then walked to the nearest metro station and caught it back to the station closest to the hotel (Van ness). From the station ...
