A Delightful Delancey

... SHe once got locked in her own atick with no one home. She escaped by eventually climbing onto the garage rafters and jumping down on top of her car!

The most intriguing story she told was of meeting a woman whose name I can't remember - we'll call her June.

Margaret was on a plane into Newark and had a layover in Vancouver. June was at that layover and they found they were on the same flight ...

let the last minute panicking begin!!!!

... retrofit my bike with some S&S couplers so i can fit my bike into a 62 linear inch suitcase. Which means i don't have to pay extra for taking my bike on planes with me. Brett and I both just got new sets of front and rear ortlieb panniers and brooks b17 saddles. Unfortunatly i don't think either one of us has broken the saddle in completely yet so we will see how that goes. I have been off my bike now for ...

... was planning a 7:30 show.

But no worries, we just tidied up a few things, and were ready on time. It was actually a blessing, because that meant that we could leave that school a half-hour earlier than we thought and have a comfortable time buffer to travel an hour to our next school that day. Perfect.

We regretted having to leave that school in such a hurry ...

August 30th My Trip Starts Again!!

... that are too good to pass up. Most of my Air Asia fares are around $5-$10 like Ryanair but with rules that are much more consumer friendly. It took me hours of researching Air Asia, Ryanair and Wizzair flights to find sale fares that I could string together to make a nice trip. Air Asia is a lot more consumer friendly, too and your wallet isn't under such a bad attack.

These airlines make their money by people buying their travel ...

... A 52,000 square foot building with the most amazing, delicate and skillfully built model railroad scenery we had ever seen. The detail on those models is incredible, with trains traveling all around, out of tunnels, over bridges and around towns. There are thousands of buildings, miles of track, many bridges and huge canyons.

It took the four of us about 1.5 hours to go through the collection (and we rushed towards the end due to a “potty ...

Exactly how many crayola colors are there?

... were getting a little restless, although Anya told us that out of everything there, she liked the demonstration the most (go figure). On a side note, Max's favorite part was being an ant (?). This requires a little explanantion because we were a little baffelled ourselves; when you walk around the factory there are picture cut-outs, one happened to be of an ant and Max stood behind it to take a picture. This apparently was the most exciting/memorable ...

Mercer Museum

... 5 the entry fee was waved! Decision made. The museum looks great, like a concrete castle with plenty of parking (there were a lot of people so we parked on the grass being assured by museum personnel we wouldn't get a ticket - we didn't). Walking inside we explored the castle which has many every day objects hanging on the wall and ceilings ...

In closing...

... I keep running into people - how was greece? - and I stumble; not knowing where to start, what to say, which stories to tell, what points to make, what laughs to share. Of course they will all spill out over time and, yes, as many of you have ascertained, there are many pieces of the puzzle that the blog fails to piece together. Luckily, this is where my tendency to be redundant is an advantage - the good ones will be in circulation for a long time to come. I thought ...

The Drosh of Chaos

... Maybe not. There are certain people in one's life who are guiding lights. And maybe they don't even know it. It takes something like this, something so life-changing, to know that people really care about you. Margie and Larry, and Becca, and Jeannine, and Doug and Monsy and Sarah, and Caitlin, and Warren and Dawn, and Christina, and SL and of course my scotch-drinking friend F -- they have all given me such a gift of their time and support and love. Some even helped with ...

No Sleep

... probably dictating their flying behavior. The way I see it is, if you've flown 50 times in the last 6 months, the odds are pretty decent that one or two of those times a person would have had a bit of a delay checking in. So if you've had two less than quick experiences in your last 50 flights that's 4% of your flights. A 4% chance is not enough to make me spend 3 hours - three times the length of my flight - at an airport checking in. So I arrived 65 minutes prior ...
