So excited to visit Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Hong Kong ... especially for the food! Even though Cathay Pacific changed us from a flight out of Newark to one out of JFK, we still couldn't wait to get on the plane -- 2 hours to JFK, 16 to Hong Kong, 3+ hr layover, then 4 more to Singapore. Plane ticket was 755USD, could be worse.  I've booked the bus ticket and found out about the metro system in Delhi. I am as much prepared for this journey as I can be. I expect lots of improvising and adventures. For not, I will continue to look at traveling blogs and continue to get ready but in the end, how well prepared can I be, really. ...

... I think there were more people in "altered states of mind" than anyone else! Luckily the people on the bus itself were relatively normal. The bus trip to Bethlehem took about 2.5 hours but once I got there I had to wait an hour for a taxi! I’m so used to seeing taxis everywhere that it was really strange to be somewhere where there were hardly any!

Matt and his team were staying at the historic Hotel Bethlehem; a really beautiful old hotel. That night Matt ...
