215 Richill Drive Texarkana, Texas, United States, 75503
... who did not have a 30A/50A cable to connect his 30A 5th wheel: it was time to give away a cable that we did not need anymore, to Rick's delight. We finally, found our way to KOA Texarkana, TX. It's often difficult to detect the level of quality of a campground from books and, naturally, their owners usually describe their spot as the next best place to perfection. I have the best navigator anyway.
Texarkana, Texas, United States averynetMarriott hotels are always very good. Unfortunately, our room had the smell of sewage. We didn't complain, though I guess we should have called it to their attention. Bozzie Jane forgot our bag of dirty clothes, and the front desk lady came running out to the parking lot to flag us down. She wins our award for Best Desk Clerk! I LOVE ...
Texarkana, Texas, United States roundamerica... to Bryce's Cafeteria. Bryce's has been in business since 1931, and the food is great. Real home cooking; they just cook up a lot of it. It's a BIG restaurant that's always filled with the locals. Bryce's has a fabulous selection of pies. Tonight, I had ...
Texarkana, Texas, United States averynetWe have finally made it to Texas and Hurricane IKE has now begun to affect us in a bad way. Looking around we have seen trees down and some damage. But until this morning we where not directly affected. Until that is we went to StarBucks and they were OUT of WHITE CHOCOLATE MOCHA. Other than that it is 79 Degrees and not a cloud in this BIG BIG sky. Once we hit Greenville, Tx the roads got very rough.
Texarkana, Texas, United States the2bubbasWe awoke to blue sky and it was already feeling hot. By the time we left the site around 11am, it was very hot indeed. We got back out onto the main road and headed south to Paris where we found the library. We're very conscious that the blog hasn't been uploaded for a couple of weeks and so planned to spend a few hours doing that today. Unfortunately they wanted $5 for us to use the internet for longer than 30 minutes so we skipped on that idea.

... out run the tornado than go into the house of the local inbreds.. Now as the weather was miserable i had to drive with the roof up.Its been about 8 days since i had to drive like this and was it the most boring drive. The roads were completely straight. I did not have to turn of for 150 miles. Just a straight road with slight deviations along the way. I am so glad i had cruise control or my foot would of gone to sleep like i was. The view were ...
Texarkana, Texas, United States adam1976brown... offer and we have enjoyed visiting many, but the parks are just wonderful. Malc tried his hand with fishing again, but only seemed to 'catch' a cat! The sunset was serene. We have decided (with a wary eye on the weather) to go north towards Texarkana where we will hopefully meet up with our friend Kate, originally from Southampton, who sailed with Malcolm on 3COM, she is now married, has a family and is living ...
Texarkana, Texas, United States malbet... waterfalls and a nice squirrel lounging on the walkway who allowed me within 6 feet to get some cool pictures. Leaving Garvan, we headed to Gulpha Gorge campground which was beautiful. We camped next to a creekbed and listened to the water running and crickets chirping as we fell asleep. We had a few problems in the process of making dinner. I got burned a few times by the cook stove and ended up with close-to-boiling water spilled in my lap ...
Hot Springs, Arkansas, United States kristensp489... breakfast at the Jet Center, we flew on to Mobile, Alabama where we spent the night. Then....back home to big T-Town, home and our dogs! The Bahamas were great, and I think we are going to go back and hop down further south to visit the more remote islands. I hope you enjoyed my blog! Happy travels!!! Sandy
