Comfort Suites Terre Haute

We have started the journey back West. This is the first of a 4 day drive back home to Scottsdale, AZ. The hotel was nice although the rooms were a little small. It was just fine for a one night stay.

We stopped at the Cleveland airport on the way here to change out our rental van. The van given us had very bald tires and we were not sure it would make the trip home safely.

Today is Wednesday and it is raining. It looks like it is going to rain all day so I get to spend some up close and personal time with my wonderful wife. I told you Rving gets better everyday.

Not only that but that they knocked they tube off that is on there to suck up the anti-freeze. So I stuck a straw on there at the gas station and it seems fine. ... of the town is Rose Hulman Institute. It is a very pretty campus on the outskirts of town, and Alma Mater of my High School buddy, Jim Doolittle. When jim went there it was Rose Polytechnic Institute (or Roscoe Poly). Jim, how did you ever make it all the way here in your Morgan before the Interstate highway? In the small world category, we discovered that Judy, who sang in Sweet Adelines back in Phoenix, knows our friend Chris back in California, because of that connection! As we've done many times before - we exchanged emails and website addresses, with hopes of meeting on down the road somewhere!

Today we spent the day driving again, but I feel like we made more progress. We crossed the state line into Illinois and our own time zone at 9pm. We're staying in a cheap ass motel in Marshall, Illinois, but we're all too tired to worry about catching crabs from the sheets.
