We had four nights at the Basswood RV Resort. It was a perfect place to relax. Our site was right on the Fish Pond where we could see the Big fish swimming around. One day we took a ride to Leavenworth and saw the penitentiary. It was ...

... wind in my face all day but I pushed on and made it to where we were hoping to go. It was the first hot day I've had the entire trip and I ended up shedding a few layers of clothes. Highlight for Lori was spotting a mailbox outside of the truck stop. Woo ...

After a lunch stop for Mexican food, we traveled together to our camp site in the country at Platte City, Mo where we set up camp. The boys jumped on the bikes and quickly learned that they could fish in any of the 4 lakes on the property for a minimal charge and fishing licenses weren't required. So ...

... More duck tape to the rescue. I wish I had a picture of a train that was passing by us at one point and it was the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Train heading to another destination. We have seen a lot of road kill along the way. Mostly raccoons, foxes and squirrels. If you run over a white squirrel you could be fined $500. I don't know how they enforce that law. The only moving animal I saw on the road today was a poor little mouse that was running from ...
