      ... of the freeway. Las Vegas is kind of at the bottom of Nevada and so it only took another hour and half till we were in Utah. What's weird is this corner of Nevada, meets Arizona and Utah so within an hour you can have crossed 3 states! Although this is still the desert the rocky hills lining the freeway had began to get a beautiful reddish tinge.

      ... the height of Ben nevis!!! and it was damn cold as well - about -5F. this place also makes you feel small but its cos you can see so much. you are but a tiny point of nothing in a vast landscape that stretches for miles and miles. And its empty. there is nothing - no towns and villages, no farmsteads - nothing.
