It was amazing to see how huge the park was because it took TWO hours to get to the north side of the park for Big Mammoth springs! We were coming from the south side, by the way.

I went back to Badlands National Park in the morning for a bit more of a look around before heading off towards the Black Hills area of South Dakota and the old western town of Deadwood. I had watched the Deadwood TV services back home and had to make sure I visited the town itself.

When we pulled in there was a drunk man named bob who showed us to, as he called it, "the best spot in the black hills". He ended up being ok, we gave him a beer for some firewood and he soon smothered us with his presence.
