As I approached the 14th Street Bridge, it began raining as if I were already in Southeast Asia – a torrential downpour that developed almost out of nowhere. I was drenched in a minute as I crossed the bridge, then took shelter at the U.S. Bureau of Engraving & Printing with a group of 15 or so tourists to wait out the monsoon.
... love all the beautiful Christmas lights! We decided to park and walk around and see this great Christmas display again. Happy to see the Nativity is still there. The lights, music and decorations were wonderful but also clouded by the flags at half mast - in honor of all the shooting victims in Connecticut.
We had a great day seeing family, experiencing Christmas, and enjoying our time together.

Today, we started the day nice and easy headed to Water World Colorado, which was on the other side of Denver, about an hour's drive. This was Chris' first time navigating and driving by himself.
