We awakened to dense fog this morning that never seemed to burn off. Since we weren't leaving until 1100 because of adverse tide in the Cape Fear, we didn't pay much mind ---- except, when 1100 rolled around, the pea soup fog was still with us. I thought it would soon burn off but was wrong. We traversed the stretch from St. James Marina to Southport at idle, barely making two knots SOG. At Southport, with nearly zero viz, ...

The brew master was a really cool guy and explained how his small facility made their beers which ...

We awakened this morning to 44 degrees, 20 mph northeast wind, and an anchor that was buried in the hard sand bottom of Banks Chanel, After considerable effort and super numb hands, Maggie and I got the anchor up and aboard as we headed down Masonboro Sound and the short cut thru Shinn Creek to the ICW. Now we were headed dead downwind and that lessened the effect of the bone chilling wind.

When night fell, we were all exhausted and low energy Lee and I attempted to put together dinner but it did not go so well... apparently potatoes take longer to cook then I thought. I litterally began falling asleep while everyone else was wide awake. I didn't talk or barely listen, I felt pretty pitiful...Then it started to rain... we all huddled in the car wet and uncomfortable waiting for it to pass, but then a gust ...
