It has a great vibe and there is loads to see and do, however, like New Orleans it is a city riddled with violence and crime and it is still trying to come to grips with its many complex social issues. It is not a wealthy place and it was the dirtiest city we visited, it almost seemed a bit neglected and this is a great shame as it is a city of great importance in Americas recent history and cultural struggles.

... for a 10-year lease and then moved to a larger location. The people who have had various businesses there since never actually changed the rooms, so it is still the original flooring (including crosses where the band members used to stand), roofing tiles, layout etc. It was pretty cool to imagine Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis etc recording and hanging out here.

We drove back to the hotel to park, then walked to the Rock and Soul Museum. It was ...
