We arrived at Convict Lake on Sunday afternoon. Traffic was light and the 350 mile trip took us about 8 hours (Roz driving all but about 2 hours). We stopped for lunch at one of our favorite spots, the Ranch House Cafe in Olancha.

We had been here a few days ago we had a very special dinner
with Jerry’s friends at famous seafood and surfing restaurant Dukes (yes, like
the one at Waikiki) at the beginning of Huntington Beach pier last Sunday, but
