Alright, we must be off. I am will miss Salem and my family here, but I am also glad to be shoving off once again into the great unknown. Salem may be my home, but it lacks a few things in the exciting and adventurous departments. Until our next posting my friends, take care!
... depressing day! First thing this morning, into the bathroom, and----there on the floor was the plastic sack that the cat poop is put into till ready to go to the garbage—and it is all over the floor!! One of the cats apparently decided it was a bag to play with!! I did not hear anything during the night!! All the cats have decided they are starved today and have spent all day whining to me about it. Believe me, they are not starved! Not much to do ...
Had a very relaxed morning for once (although still awake by 6:30, but nice not to have to get up) and enjoyed a leisurely motel breakfast. We then hit the road and headed north up the coast. We had a few scenic spots by the beach before ...
... and board only, not for the actual volunteering. Which was great news to me while volunteering on a budget. At this point, for some reason I set a date in my phone calendar of November 11th and titled the appointment "Africa<3", before even contacting the Hostel to ask about openings. This is the date I was aiming to actually be arriving in Tanzania. (if you've read The Secret, this part will be intriguing to you) Next I got in contact with them ...
