Joanne and l left Medina early this morning. We stopped at the best bakery I have ever gone to for our breakfast bakery. Then since I had a captive audience I drove by my old house. It was still standing. The rest of my old haunts look the same but the area has really changed. Can't stop progress I guess.

... I could tell you the experience was great but almost as quickly as we were in the air I was asleep. What I can tell you is Delta has wonderful cereal for breakfast in business class.

So thank you Delta for getting us safely to Iceland on time and on the day we thought we would be arriving. Tonight I am exhausted so I'll start the real blog tomorrow when we get our car and begin the Ring Road!

    Love to all

Yesterday I was staying at a hotel on Lake Michigan and today I drove 3 hours to Lake Huron in Bay City, MI. My seminar room tomorrow is overlooking the 9th hole on the golf course at Bay Valley Hotel. After a long drive I needed to relax so I sat in the sauna. It was great, I feel like butter ...

    GO AWAY, BUGS! Go AWAY!!

A travel blog entry by oregonnscaler on Jun 02, 2014

... We followed the shoreline of Lake Michigan to the Mackinac Bridge, then crossed over into lower Michigan. Pretty cool to have Lake Michigan on your right and Lake Huron on your left as you travel 200 feet up in the air over a four lane bridge. A little windy, though.

We did a little looking around as we traveled but mostly we were just working to make distance and time. Stopped for lunch in Munising, MI, a city ...
