... The coffee shop was still overflowing as I walked back home so I resisted again. Afternoon was for making my mum's now famous 1-1-1 slice for Feast in the evening. It was at Melvina's home,. I was honoured to meet more friendly open people and ended up in deep discussion with a neurological psychologist who has just submitted a paper to the White House to reform the education system! Tomorrow is Fort Worth to do a museum or two and to see some Texan Longhorn Cattle. ...

The locals say it's warm, but for a girl of the tropics I have my ever present cardigan on! Denton (or as it's promoted online - 'little d') is a university town; or I should say a 2 universities town about the same size as Townsville. The exhibits in the main room are all explained in ...

From our overnight at Lake Hubbard, we drove to Dallas to the George W. Bush Presidential Library, a request from Jimmy. EXCELLENT choice- so interesting, from the first exhibit about the American pastime of baseball ( and ALL the Presidents involvements), to the Response to 9-11 exhibit, and the Oval Office reproduction. Our next stop was to relive November 22, 1963. The sixth floor of the Book Depository building at Dealey Plaza was full of ...

Breakfast at a Tex Mex Place called loco cafe. Excellent intro to Texas with a big black Wrangler Jeep parked right outside. I am addicted to the coffee... already; laced with chilli it left that warm afterglow at the back of the throat after the initial intensity of the coffee. We turned breakfast into brunch with an "overachiever" each of eggs, bacon, potatoes, tomatoes, cheese and sour cream. At home there are squirrels in the ...

... card. After lunch, we continued on to Dallas. 3 hours later, we stopped at McDonalds for Coffee and Nuggets. I got the nuggets. After McDonalds, it was 1 more hour until we arrived at the hotel.

After we got to the hotel, we got ready for the sangeet that night. The party itself was pretty boring so after 2 hours we came back to the room.
