Whoopee! We're off to Vegas through scrubby desert land with mile after mile of mountains flanking our route. The day ended with one hell of a thunder storm. Phoenix is really sprawling but surrounded on all sides by mountains so when the lightening started it was a real showstopper. Sheet lightening all around us with torrential rain - and it was still hot!
