My hayfever seems to have transferred onto Ash!! I am sure mine was not flu, as it came on very suddenly when we were sitting on a double decker bus next to a Bauhinia Tree, and I had my flu jauva, and also I did not feel sick ... just had a blocked nose, sore chest, sore throat etc etc!!! (As you do with hay fever!!!) Anyway, now she is feeling …
We got up and had a wonderful free brekkie. Ash even had a waffle shaped in a mickey mouse head !!! We had an appt at the other hotel to listen to our timeshare speel, and then went off to Epcot Centre at lunch time. It was great!! The weather was coolish and there were hardly any people there. We didn't have to have long queues and could just …
Well, today didn't start too well!! First of all we had booked our airport shuttle for 6.05 am, and only woke up at 6.10!!! We had woken up all night, as one tends to do, when you have to get up at a specific time, only to sleep through till after the shuttle left!! We hadn't packed, so rushed around the room, packing and getting dressed at the …
... through Florida) and we have to walk to a monorail for around 500 hundred meters. Monorail boarded and we're away, in reasonable spirits given the last 6 hours. We finally enter the park just after 2pm.Stop 1Had to be to buy ponchos before we drowned, then onto Spaceship Earth. Real good start, we all enjoyed our 1st adventure ride, although tame, Spaceship Earth took us on a journey showing how we had evolved from when cave men ...
... inaccessible. Even though it was a Sunday, the crowd was average and waiting time was not too long. Some of the attractions introduced us to how films were made. Compared to Universal Studios, I must say, honestly it is still lagging behind by a large bit. The return journey was a mad rush. We almost had to find our own transportation back because we were THIS close to missing th shuttle. Still glad that I finally got my long awaited ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Quality Suites Universal South Orlando
Good accomodation - fridge - microwave and t.v (nintendo for the kids!) Coffee maker, hair dryer and even an ironing board and iron!! 2 double beds, living area with table and chairs. Washing machines and dryers to use on each floor ($2 a wash) free ice machines on each floor too!! Rooms very clean and maid came in every day - couldn't fault this.
My husband and I always stay at this hotel when we visit Orlando!! We have annual passes to Universal Studios, so we visit often! I would not call this hotel the Ritz, but it is definitely not as bad as some of the bad reviews. It is away from the hustle and bustle of Crowds and tourists, yet still only minutes from Universal Studios, Sea World, and I-4. Choice brand hotels have a satisfaction guarantee so if you are not pleased with your room or service, just tell them. They will make it right or they will pay for your night's stay. If you visit Choice brand hotels often then you can join the Rewards program and get room upgrades and points at every choice brand hotel. I joined and have used it every time I stay here!! I also have earned 3 nights free with the points I have accumulated!!!! Stay at the hotel before you decide to believe the bad reviews. You will like it!
Really nice hotel
We stayed at this hotel Saturday - Wednesday and had a wonderful time. The oversized rooms were great and the rates were fabulous. The breakfast was very good but you had to get down there fairly early to enjoy it. The seating area is too small for the amount of people that try to use it. One morning we went down at 8:30 and there were 7 people in line for waffles. We didn't wait! The staff was very polite and very helpful. The location was perfect. Close enough to International Drive yet away from all the traffic. Really slick heading south on Turkey Lake Road to get to Sea World or I-4. We would definitely stay here again!!
After reading the reviews on this website I felt awful and was dreading what i would find.
Very nice hotel
We stayed here for a few days. It was very nice. It had a great pool.
The breakfast was nice. The service was great. It was centrally located. I would totally recommend staying at this hotel.
I booked the Comfort Suites with the hotel chain in mind.I booked through a Seaworld vacation package. Affordable and Convenient. I got what I paid for. The room was filthy. The sofa bed was broken, bathroom was dirty and I was afraid to use the sheets and blankets. It whole hotel was very dirty looking. The breakfast buffet was so crowded it wasn't worth the wait. When I spoke with the manager she informed me I should have had a renovated room. We've all heard that before. After my persistance I got one night refunded and was informed to give the hotel another chance if I was to visit the area again. No way. The light at the end of the tunnel was knowing that we were going on to Disneys Fort Wilderness cabins for the remainder of our vavcation.
Sleezy, dirty hotel
The room was filthy. The pool heater was broken. The showers were ice cold. The common areas reminded me of a housing project in Chicago...
very dirty. This is not what I had envisioned our winter get away to look like. The only positive comment is the place had a decent continental breakfast with do-it-yourself waffle irons.
Skip this one
The room had a strong smell of mildew. We were charged $2 a day for use of the in-room safe, even though we clearly stated we would not be needing it. When we asked the front desk clerk to call us a cab, he ordered some company that charged double what other taxis in town charged. The best thing about this place is the tiki bar at the pool.
The pool wasn't dirty & the spa/hot tub was nice.
This hotel/motel is old dirty and damp. The rooms are small and dull.
Nothing seemed to work, even the pool was grubby. Never again......
Upon check-in Comfort Suite manager hands me a certificate for a "welcome gift." Turns out to be an "arrangement" in the lobby with them and Tempus Resorts for a 2 Hour high pressure, one-on-one salesman in your face scam to by Time Shares. Advice: Avoid any "discount" offers by Comfort Suites or respresentative in their lobby. Buy full priced Orlando entertainment tickets on your own. First Impression of room: 2 pubic hairs remaining in tub; microwave didn't work; carpet old; toilet overflowed on last day.
