... good for both of them because Elvis then went on to become the most successful recording artist of the time and Sam Phillips and Sun Studios lived on to fight another day (he recorded Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash and also Carl Perkins). When we leave there we manage to get a shuttle bus down to Beale St which saves us a lot of mucking around. A few things about the south; it's hot, damn hot! New Orleans was hot and wet, Clarksdale was hot and here, it's just hot. It's ...

We miss the breakfast in the hotel....our late night last night caught up with us. It's is becoming bit of a habit! So instead we find brunch at a place called Bonton. Food in the south is different, shall we say. Nuff said. Service is amazing here as it has been everywhere and I guess we are a novelty, with that strange English accent we have. Of course, Australia is the usual guess, and when ...

... Roy Orbison and JerryLee Lewis have all recorded. The studio is the same as it was then.
Offf to Graceland. I was a bit dubious about this as I knew it was $37 to get in plus parking. Turns out it was worth it. The manison and grounds are great and dpresented well with headphones and talking guide allowing you to take time. Lots of photos until the battery ran out in the camera. Want to see them, come around for a ...
