... very pretty :) We then popped into trader joes to get a couple of bits and it's amazing!!! We need them in the UK! Not too much of the mass produced stuff and lots of fresh produce etc which is cheap! We then made our way to the airport and checked in for our flight. We had to pay $50 for our checked luggage as we thought it was included but what the hey! We ate our makeshift lunch and boarded the plane. Virgin America are very enthusiastic!! The flight was so quick. Time for ...

After a quick breakfast in our room we headed down to reception to get a taxi. ... a huge sweets and candy shop that had candy from all over the world. They had a whole table of candy from Japan that I recognized most of and it made me so happy to see again! We also tried a bunch of samples of fudge! And of course we saw the Hollywood sign but it was pretty far away and between two buildings, ha! But it was a really nice time, a really nice little tourist trip!

Today I drove from the valley over to Venice Beach to see an old friend, Jim, who has his law office right on the Venice Beach boardwalk. Amazing location. I had some time before he got off work and so I wandered all around Venice on a beautiful, sunny day. I got to explore the beach, the boardwalk (which is a concrete walkway with no 'boards' of the traditional wooden type I am familiar with from growing up on the Jersey shore, and from Santa Cruz near where I've lived the ...

... the churches of the 21st century. There's what, half a dozen products, with variations within the product range. Anyway, the place was full of IT geeks having their fun. On the next block there was a Tesla store. I can not wait for this all electric car to hit our shores. 450k's on a single charge, and it fully charges in 40 minutes, and their business lease terms in the states are better than my current lease arrangement. It might be worth thinking ...
