How far we have come! Whilst in Reno, the hotel was peopled by an army of Little Miss Sparklies, serving drinks to the assembled gamblers, so they would not have to move from their slot machines. Almost dressed in little black strapless numbers with diamond sequins sewn all over them and tottering on ridiculously high heels.
But now we have Stephanie, in a uniform which could have come from Guantanamo, except this one comes in pale blue.
Today is Presidents' Day which is officially a federal holiday. Everything apart from the government offices seems to work normally, and a few of the galleries and museums are free for this one day. We were still a little tired so we just had dinner at the hotel and had a wonderful Mexican server called Miguel. We ate dinner and then got a chocolate fudge brownie to bring back and enjoy.
