... of the label Acadian. The word "Acadian" has modified in language usage to today’s term Cajun. It seems to be a term the people use proudly. Also, we’ve noticed that the local TV station and newspapers refer to the area as “Acadiana” rather than any other geographic or regional term. It’s used the same way we would use “The Research Triangle” or just “the Triangle”. ...

We didn't do much today. It was sunny and warm and we took a break and read most of the day. Jim: Brad Thor, and Barbara’s reading Louise Penny. We took a short trip to downtown Lafayette to the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. It is a beautiful, old parish with wonderful stained glass window and many, many ...

    Lafayette.

Factory Tour: This was an OK tour. Pretty good video at the beginning, but the tour consisted of walking past the bottling operation. ...

After a down day because of the rain we headed down to Corpus Christi for the day. What a nice beach. Because that's what ...

Nice new RV Park - kind of a long ways out from the usual Breaux Bridge activity, but lovely sites, full hookups, and, with Passport America, only $15/night!
On our first day here, we drove to Lafayette, where I had a doctor appointment for the annual boob check. We stopped for lunch at the Cafeteria that is featured in James Lee Burke's novels which feature David Robichaud. Fun little joint.
    We got to the ...
