    ... already wet from the rapids but I didn't want the stuff in my bag getting wet. At Kay's hen do Natalie & Amanda thoughtfully gave everyone a poncho in case it rained. These were really thin ponchos designed to cover a light shower, not a torrential downpour. The poncho stuck to me as I was already wet and after 30 seconds it looked like I had wrapped myself in cling film.     ... myself to sign up for a ranger led walk in the muddy waters of the swamp! Even when they assured us the rangers knew where to walk, my imagination would not stop thinking of alligators!! The Cypress trees found here are a deciduous conifer that can survive in standing water. They have dropped their needles at this time of year so when I first saw them I thought they were dead because of the water - oh the things you learn!!
