So we've arrived in the sunshine state of Florida and South beach Miami in particular, where it's very hot and humid. We have a lovely boutique hotel on the famous Ocean Drive that allows us to walk across to the beach in a couple of minutes which is good - the water here is so warm!!! We've been taking it easy here as we near the end of our holiday. The first day we were here we just wandered around in the sun and walked along Ocean Drive and looked at ...
... along new motorways leading to the airport. Ecuador is building lots and lots of new roads everywhere, mountains being cut through. It's changing, maybe for the better, maybe for the worse, but it's definitely changing at a pace. I suspect if we return in 5 or 10 years it won't feel so familiar. Like I mentioned before, the traffic on the way home was rough. When we got back to Fort Lauderdale, we stopped in for dinner at this Mexican place called "Lime" and then grabbed some alcohol at a place called a "Total Wines". This is their equivalent of Dan Murphy's but cheaper. I bought a bottle of Jim ...
