Place To Stay At Disney!

My family and I just returned home after spending six nights at the Comfort Suites Maingate East. What a treat! I read all of the reviews and the hotel lived up to the writings. Exceptionally Clean. Convenient Location. Very Inexpensive. We didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel -- and who does when you go to Disney. The low, low rate, mid $60-dollar range, combined with a very good "free" continental breakfast makes this an excellent choice for lodging. The kids loved the pool and hot tub areas. The staff was great, especially the folks who keep the room clean. Great job !! You're also withing walking distance of a nice putt-putt course and Old Town. We had a very nice time there as well. (Nice diversion from Disney) There's also a good selection of restaurants in the area. When we return to Disney, we'll be staying at this hotel again. Keep up the great work.

Good Deal For the Price

Just returned from 6 nights in Orlando. The hotel was a good deal for the price. I'd read all the other reviews and that's what helped me make this my final choice of places to stay. Overall the place is a good deal. The staff needs some work, well only the front desk staff.

They were uninterested to say the least and we didn't ask for anything.

Just checking in and out -- and they seemed annoyed everytime we even walked near the front desk. The other staff members were great - especially the housekeeping and the pool bar attendant. The rooms are nice, clean, perfect for the little amount of time we were in it. The housekeeping was great - similar to on a cruise where you never see them but when you come back to your room it's tidy and they even made cute animals out of the towels. The pool is really nice, not too big not too small. The only problem we had at the pool was one day there were several out of control kids who annoyed everyone at the pool - turned out they were the children of one of the annoyed front desk attendants - must be an employee perk to bring all 4 of your kids to work and dump them at the pool all day. Not good!! The Free Continental breakfast was nice, except of course you're surrounded by 100's of others trying to eat and get to the parks all at the same time, luckily it's from 7am to 10am so keep the crowds in mind and you won't get run over while you try to get a muffin. The shuttle was pretty restictive on shuttle times - you'd better plan to be at the parks all day or you shouldn't plan on the shuttle as your only means of transportation.

But, it's great if you do plan to be at the parks all day - the shuttles were on time and the drivers were friendly. Would I recommend this hotel to others, yes. I would just warn you not to expect any super friendly "glad you're here" kind of treatment when you walk in the place.

Great Family Place

We were there in March and loved it. The room was spacious and clean, the staff was helpful and friendly and thier breakfast buffet was a real money saver for the family. We will be staying there again.

Nice Find!

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nites in June 2003 with my 2 daughters(12 & 14) and found it to be a very nice facility. Room was very clean, as was the entire hotel. Friendly helpful employees were the norm. Nice pool area for the kids a well as adults, with hot tub and sererate area for smaller children. Pool bar was o.k. , nice to see after a day at Disney! Very close to all Disney parks, and numerous dining choices close by(either walk or a very short drive). FREE(don't see that word much in relation to Disney!) continental breakfast worked out fine- pancakes, waffles, assorted muffins, cereal. etc. All in all, a great hotel experience that I would recommend AND use again! Paid around $60.00/nite thru hotelmart.com!

Loved Comfort Suites Maingate East

We recently went to Orlando and stayed at the Comfort Suites Maingate East. On arrival, we received a free upgrade which was a wonderful surprise. The accomodations were roomy and very clean. The pool area was lovely with lots of room for swimming or lounging on a raft. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was the free shuttle to the park. The ride was comfortable, however, there were numerous stops at other hotels. We opted to drive the rest of our stay after one shuttle ride. This hotel is in a very convenient location for all the parks, eating, etc. Easy access to I-4. We would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel at a reasonable price

We stayed at this hotel four nights and it is a great, reasonably priced hotel. This hotel has interior halls (Comfort Suites Maingate does not) so it is a bit nicer. Staff was very courteous and helpful. I would definately stay there again.

Great place to stay

Great place to stay. Handy to everywhere, excellent service, friendly staff, nice pool, breakfast buffet - will stay there again.

Super fun in the sun

We were looking for somewhere with just about everything. Free shuttle to WDW, Universal, etc free continental breakfast, 24 hour pool, excellent location and walking distance to many good restaurants. Very clean and personable. Our first stay was in 2002 and we loved the area and the hotel so much we booked again in 2003. You will NOT be disappointed.

Second stay

Our second stay here was as good as our first, nice hotel, other than trouble finding it last time, we enjoyed both of our stays here.

Going to Orlando? stay here!

We did alot of internet checking before reserving a hotel room for ten days. We went thru hotelmart and paid $53.50 per night. We arrived at midnight and our room was given away, bad... But they made arragements and paid for another hotel for one night, a dump called Holiday Inn. The Comfort Suites is very new with nice, nice rooms. A kitchen area, sink, fridge. microwave and cupboards. Incrediably clean. Nice comfortable furniture including a reclining chair. The hotel is a block off the main drag, very quiet, nothing on either side of the hotel and nothing but trees behind the hotel. 24 hr pool and an awesome free breakfast buffet. It is close to Disney and Old Town shopping centre and midway rides is a block away. Mini golf down the street and pleanty of good places to eat within walking distance. Has a bus service to Disney. We recommend this hotel to everyone. If your worried about where to stay, this is it. Where you stay can make or break your holiday, and this place made our holiday a sucess.
