    ... t-shirt. We had a fudge picnic and made ourselves a little nauseous, so walked-on back to the Main Street to try and feel better. We had a local beer to wash it down :-) After walking around the town, admiring all of the quaint houses, having a bite to eat and dreaming of living in Mackinac Island, we caught the 8pm ferry back to the mainland.     ... in St Ignace which is very nice and we are parked outside. We have a balcony at the back which overlooks the lake although we are on the ground floor. The sunset is on the other side so it should be a sunrise over here in the morning. We have been to the ferry terminal to book our ferry passage tomorrow morning.     ... British retained control of the fort throughout the war. The Grand Hotel is elegant with greeters and doormen dressed in the turn of the century clothes. All transportation on the island is either by horse drawn carriages or bicycles. It was comical to see men dressed in three piece suits peddling around town.
