... fun a trip. It's a good 30 minute walk from the hotel so I had to make sure I only got the bare essentials, whilst also trying to work out what I could cook in the microwave. I spent an annoying $60 and didn't have my change to tip the bag packing man, who told me "we cool" when I broke the bad news, and off I went with my seven bags (see photo!). ... mustang. He gave me a whistlestop tour of the bits of Jacksonville we saw and of the base as well. Everything was closed when we arrived and it was dark, so I'll do a proper scout out tomorrow, but it's massive. There's 13500 people,e who work here and my hotel is right by a golf course. There's even a Mcdonalds and superstore on base. My room's very nice. I've got an open plan kitchen/lounge, a nice double bed (now adorned with a British flag above it) ...
After Leon picked up Shari from the airport, Leah took all of us to eat at the nicest hotel/restaurant, One Ocean on the Atlantic Beach. We had a table outside with a breath taking view of the ocean.
