    4:30am comes awfully early, but we're excited to be underway! Even the kids are excited, and with teenagers, that never happens! It was pretty strange leaving the house this morning, knowing that we wouldn't be back for almost a month.     Wow - things are getting real now. Departure time 4:30am tomorrow to drive to Anne's sister's house in the Washington DC area. We won't be home again until June 14... that's 3 1/2 weeks on the road!

    The start of our trip.

    Departure from Huntsville toward Chicago. Got an all day lay over in Chicago because there is only one flght to Chicago from Huntsville.
    All went well other than the American Airlines agent had to physically complete the baggage connection between Paris and Malta. This meant that he had to hand write the ultimate destination. I don' think he has ever heard of Malta.
