Decatur, AL is not the kind of place you want to get out and explore... even less so is where our hotel was in the nearby town of Athens, AL. We pulled in on Saturday night, about 8pm, and quickly realized that we weren't in Kansas anymore... or rather, New Orleans. Most of the local restaurants were already closed, or about to close, and were closed on Sundays... yeehaw. Needless to say, with the lack of entertainment and food options nearby, I opted to spend my time in the hotel ...

... IN THE PARK.HOW EAT...SEEMS EACH TOWN HAS IT OWN CHRISTMAS FEEL. T'WAS WARM AND SWEET. LITTLE BIT WAS A SWEETHEART AND WAS NOT A BIT AFRAID OF THE DARK. We squeezed some lunch in before heading over to the IMAX theater to see Tom Hanks Movie "Magnificent Desolation" and then we went to train for our next mission, Colin was mission Specialist 1 and I was mission specialist 2. SPOTS, ALSO. IT WOULD BE FUN STAYING IN
ONE OF THE CABINS LATE IN THE FALL.

RYANS. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT! THE TOWN OF HEARTSELLE IS OLD TOWNISH AND QUAINT. ALL IN ALL THIS MADE FOR A GREAT TRIP! WE LEFT OUT EARLY IN ORDER TO GET THERE IN TIME FOR THE GRAND ENTRANCE. TODAY WE TOOK LITTLE BIT OF A WHOLE LOT TO GET PIZZA AT CHUCKEY CHEESE. THIS WAS OUR FIRST TIME TO TAKE A GRAND-CHILD TO EAT PIZZA HERE. NO WE DID NOT RIDE THE RIDES BUT WE SURE HAD A LOT OF FUN WATCHING HER RIDE AND WATCH THE OTHER CHILDREN.
