The start of our trip.
Departure from Huntsville toward Chicago. Got an all day lay over in Chicago because there is only one flght to Chicago from Huntsville.
All went well other than the American Airlines agent had to physically complete the baggage connection between Paris and Malta. This meant that he had to hand write the ultimate destination. I don' think he has ever heard of Malta.

... of strange and surreal seeing Kym in Alabama. Adrian and I talked a lot about going to visit once we knew her husband Paul had been posted with the Army, but for it to be a reality was totally awesome. If it wasn't for having them in Alabama I don't imagine it would have been high on my "places to visit" list. ... the canteen - most things are pretty good when free! We did the short drive to the airport but after we returned our 'borrowed' towels to the Marriott. ... same mission as yesterday but we switch jobs. This time the whole family were doing science experiments at the International Space Station - ok but not quite as fun as our previous jobs. We then had a play in the MMU - manned maneuvering units, lots of fun - especially sideways. Watched the Hubble Movie on the Dome IMAX & then back for our actual mission. ... accent?? Maybe if we were from Queensland or Western Australia I'd accept an accent but not Victorians?! So we had a 'team' photo, then did the multi-axis trainer ( the spinny thing), did training for our first mission & built a rocket...all before dinner!
